The low-fade king in Phoenix made me ditch my guard system
I was doing a walk-in client last month in Phoenix and the guy next to me had this razor technique where he freehanded the whole fade with zero guards. I watched him for 20 minutes and his blend was way smoother than anything I get with my clipper stack, so I tried it on my next appointment and it was a mess at first. Has anyone else switched to freehand and stuck with it, or did you bounce back to guards after a few rough cuts?

Tried freehand once on my dog's neck fluff, never again.
