A guy at a coffee shop in Sacramento told me to stop hunting for clients and just sit near other freelancers
He claimed 3 of his steadiest gigs came from small talk at the same shared table every Tuesday, so now I'm wondering which days or spots near you actually turned into real work instead of just chatter.
