The 3pm empty desk trick that rebuilt my client list
After I moved to Portland last fall, I kept booking the same shared desk slot and never talked to anyone, so my freelance leads dried up for like 6 weeks. Then I started hanging around the communal kitchen at 3pm when the afternoon slump hits, and just asking people what they were stuck on, turns out that's when everyone's most open to swapping contacts or tips. Has anyone else found a specific time of day at their coworking spot that makes it way easier to actually meet people?
