A 30 year operator in Houston told me to quit booming down so early on picks
I used to start booming down as soon as the load cleared the truck, and he called it out on a 12 ton pick last month. He said let the load tell you when it's ready and keep the boom up until the swing is done, and my sway has been almost nothing since. Anybody else get taught this the hard way or was I just late to it?
