Burned $3,200 on a credit repair outfit in Dallas before I figured out they just mailed dispute letters
I hired a company called Novell Credit Solutions back in 2022 after a bad stretch with medical bills tanked my score to 540. They charged me $3,200 over 8 months and all they really did was send generic dispute letters to the bureaus, which you can do yourself for the cost of a stamp. I would have been better off putting that money toward the balances directly. Has anyone found a credit counselor that actually does more than just mail templates?
