Finally got my mom to use a password manager after her email got hit

It happened last Tuesday, someone got into her old Yahoo account. I set her up with Bitwarden over the weekend and walked her through making a master password. Anyone have tips for helping older relatives with this stuff?

Did you write down her master password somewhere safe? I keep a paper copy for my dad in his lockbox, just in case. The hardest part for him was getting used to the browser extension, so I bookmarked the web vault as a backup.

Oh totally, @cora813! I did the same thing with my mom's password, stuck it right in her fire safe.

I used to think writing down passwords was a bad idea, but this actually makes a lot of sense.

I mean, a lockbox for a password? Maybe it's just me but that feels like overkill for a yahoo account.
