Client moved a Friday deadline to Wednesday, and my calendar went from calm to chaos in 48 hours
A client of mine emailed last Tuesday and said the project had to be done by Wednesday instead of Friday. That cut my timeline from 5 days to 2, and I had already booked Thursday and Friday for two other gigs. I panicked, moved both of those to the weekend, and pulled two all nighters at my kitchen table in Austin. The weird part is I still made it, and the work looked fine. But I noticed something in my tracker: my edits per hour tripled, which means I was just flinging stuff at the file and hoping it stuck. So now I want to know, do you fight the new deadline or just eat the lost sleep? Because I said yes without even pushing back and I still feel dumb about it.

Did you even get a breather after that Wednesday drop, or did you just crash straight into the weekend work? Man, I feel this one. Two all nighters at the kitchen table sounds brutal, and the part that gets me is the tracker showing your edits per hour tripled. Like, you knew in your gut you were just throwing stuff at the file. I've done the same thing, said yes right away because pushing back felt scary in the moment, then sat there wondering why I didn't just ask for one extra day. You're not dumb for saying yes, you were in a corner and you got it done. That counts for something.
