Survived a 48-hour turnaround using voice memos instead of emails
Last Tuesday my regular contact went on leave and the backup guy emailed at 4pm saying they needed the full brand deck by Thursday morning. That's normally a 5 day job for me. I panicked for an hour, then started recording voice memos on my phone instead of typing out every feedback round. I'd talk through the changes while walking my dog, then just fix the file and send a short bullet summary. The whole project took 2 days and the new guy actually said my notes were easier to follow than my usual essays. Has anyone else switched to talking out loud when a deadline gets crushed and found it works better?
