Serious question, how did I not know soft vs medium bristles mattered this much?
I brushed with a hard bristle brush for years because I thought harder equaled cleaner, until my dentist in Portland pointed out my gums had been slowly pulling back. He held up that little mirror and showed me two spots where the root was starting to show, and I felt pretty dumb right there in the chair. Switched to soft about 4 months ago and the bleeding when I floss basically stopped within a month. Now I'm second guessing every brush I grab at the store, so how do you all pick between soft and extra soft without going down a rabbit hole?
