Vent: My periodontist said my home care routine was the problem, not my crowns
Went in for my 6 month checkup at a practice in Sacramento and my periodontist pulled out the chart and said "your gums bleed at 7 of 12 spots, that's not a crown issue, that's home care." So I switched from a hard bristle brush to a soft one and started using a water flosser at night instead of string floss, and at my last visit I was down to 2 bleeding spots. Now I'm second guessing whether my old dentist was even checking this stuff or just looking at the crowns. Has anyone else been told their dental work was fine when the real problem was hygiene all along?
