Burned $210 on a cheap injector puller that snapped on the first stuck injector
Last Tuesday I had a 6.7 Cummins in the bay with two injectors carboned in solid, so I grabbed a $45 puller off the internet instead of renting the good one from the tool store across town for $70 a day. It flexed on the first yank, then the jaw cracked and the injector didn't budge. I ended up paying a mobile guy $165 to come out with the right tool plus two hours of my own time waiting on him. Skip the cheap junk and rent the real one, it would have been cheaper and I'd have had the truck out the same afternoon. Anyone got a puller brand that actually holds up on stuck injectors?
