Is it really that serious though? @keith164 makes a good point about the separate account thing, but I'm not convinced labeling money differently changes much. I've got my savings in one place and just treat it like a no-touch zone for non-emergencies, and it works fine. Aren't we just overcomplicating things by pretending a different account name magically fixes self-control?

Samreed that's a good point for out of state stuff but yeah open houses just hit different. My buddy in Dallas tried the video only thing and a couple walked through his place later and straight up said the video made the living room look way bigger than it was.

Oh man, @joseph_green13 knows what I'm talking about. When you said "just thrown out with the coffee cups" that's exactly what I was afraid of happening, ha. Actually I did end up writing that napkin story into a full rough draft a few months later, but it sat in a drawer for two years before I pulled it back out. The advice was more about the process moving forward because now I always do a first draft by hand before typing it up. That old guy was right about slowing down, it makes a huge difference in how the words come out.

Not gonna lie, I read somewhere that shop vacs are basically designed to eat rags. Some guy on a forum said he lost a whole pair of gloves to one and now he tapes the intake down before he starts. 45 minutes with a customer watching is rough though, I'd be tempted to just say the vac needed a "performance upgrade" or something.
