Had the same thing happen with the injectors on my 7.3 years back. Snugged them down by feel and ended up with a miss on cylinder 3 about a week later. Torque wrench and the right spec sheet saved me a whole lot of grief after that. Those old guys at the truck stops have seen every dumb mistake twice, so it pays to listen.
