A taxi driver in Bangkok asked me what I was running from

I was just trying to get to a co-working space, but he saw my laptop bag and said, 'You work from anywhere, yes? But home is still there.' It made me think about why I left in the first place. Anyone else get a simple question that stuck with them for weeks?

That cabbie would probably ask what I'm running toward... and I'd have no clue either.

Ever have a moment where you're just on autopilot? I once walked ten blocks before I realized I had no idea where I was actually going. The destination just sort of lost its meaning halfway there.

Autopilot moments can be a sign of a tired mind, but sometimes they're just a needed mental break. The body knows the way home while the thoughts get to wander free for a bit. It's not always about losing the destination, but finding a quiet space along the route.
