My portable monitor died mid-call over in Medellin last month
I was on a Zoom call with a client in Dallas when my screen just went black. Total panic, especially since I was at a cafe in El Poblado with spotty wifi. I had to finish the whole call on my phone, holding it up while trying to take notes. Has anyone else had a backup display fail at the worst time like that?

Died mid-call" - man, I feel that pain so hard. Had almost the exact same thing happen in a WeWork in Bangkok last year. My external monitor just flickered and went dark right as I was walking a client through quarterly results. I ended up holding my phone with one hand and scribbling notes on a napkin with the other. Made me look super unprofessional in front of the client. Switched to a different brand after that, but I still get nervous every time I plug it in.
