My printer died in a hostel lobby in Medellin at 2am

I was in Medellin last month doing visa paperwork for my client in the US, and my portable printer seized up right when I needed to scan a signed contract. The hostel front desk guy let me use their ancient office printer, but the ink was out and the only store open was a 24 hour pharmacy that sold a generic refill for 40,000 pesos. Anyone else had a document emergency turn into a whole city tour just to get one sheet printed?

40,000 pesos for printer ink from a pharmacy at 2am? That's some next level desperation right there. Bet that contract smelled like bug spray and regret.
