Sounds like the carriers there are running on pure wishful thinking. @waderamirez, your GPS story is the perfect proof of that. My phone might as well be a fancy paperweight in those spots.

It's funny how we assume tech will work everywhere now, but signals still drop in spots. Makes you realize how patchy the whole system can be, even in developed areas.

Tried using GPS last week, total dead zone by the highway exit.

Man, that really stinks when your data goes all spotty. I was trying to load a simple webpage the other day and it just timed out, left me staring at a blank screen. Even sending a picture text can turn into a whole ordeal, waiting for that progress bar to crawl. You start wondering if it's your phone or the whole network having a bad day. It's one of those small modern headaches that just wears on you after a while.
