inPro tip: I was cleaning chimneys wrong for five years because of a bad habit from my first boss.
Oh man, that's rough! My old boss was obsessed with using way too much creosote powder on every job, said it "prevented future buildup." All it did was make a huge, gritty mess that was ten times worse to clean up later. I finally stopped using it unless the situation was absolutely desperate.

inI bought a $300 drone for aerial site photos and it was a total waste
I get what you mean about the simple tool winning, but sometimes you need the new gadget to actually do the job right. A pole just can't get the same high, wide shots a stable drone can for mapping. Sticking with only what you know can really hold back your work.

inI finally gave up on that cheap aftermarket cutter head for my 10-inch dredge after it cost me a full day's work and about $800 in lost time.
My buddy tried a no-name brand on his 8-inch and had the same thing happen. It was all sand and gravel, nothing crazy, and the whole cutter just came apart. He found a place online that sells rebuilt OEM heads for half the price, and those have been solid for him. I guess sometimes the cheap fix ends up costing more.

inVisited a big camera show in Chicago and the lack of repair info was wild
Yeah, that line about "a box of problems" hits home. I read a rant from a repair tech last week saying they're basically becoming the cleanup crew for these sellers. It's frustrating because the customer paid a "vintage" price but got a project they didn't sign up for. Honestly, it makes the whole scene look bad when people get burned on a cool old camera that just needs a simple fix the seller didn't bother with.

inSerious question, I tried two different ways to set up a tubeless tire last week
My old track pump finally died trying to seat a Maxxis tire, so I get it. @jake_sullivan is right about the compressor yelling, but I've had luck warming the tire in the sun first to make the rubber more flexible. That extra step can help a lot before you bring out the big gun.
