Vent: Lost a week's pay on a bad co-working space in Chiang Mai
I booked a month at a place that looked great online, but the internet cut out every afternoon. Couldn't join video calls for five days straight. Ended up paying $300 for the month and had to leave after a week to find somewhere else. Anyone know a reliable spot there with solid backup power?

Couldn't join video calls for five days straight" is the real kicker. That's not just a bad connection, that's a total work stoppage. Paying for a month and getting that is genuinely shocking.

Ever notice how everything looks perfect online until you actually show up? It's like we're all living in a world of polished photos and broken reality. This happens with apartments, used cars, even dating profiles. You pay for the promise of something stable and get stuck with the hidden flaws. Sorry that happened to you, it's a total scam. For Chiang Mai, I heard good things about the places near the old city having more reliable setups.

Check the water pressure before you sign anything. Learned that one the hard way. Old city spots do tend to have fewer surprises.

Seriously, the polished photos thing is so true lol. It sets you up for such a letdown in person. Always gotta check the basics yourself.
