Working from a cafe in Lisbon and the waiter just brought me a plate of sardines with my Americano

Apparently the 'digital nomad special' here includes a side of very pungent fish, which was a surprise for my 9 AM Zoom call.

That's just how cafes work in some places. They assume you want the local experience with your coffee, fish and all. Makes you realize how standardized the global coffee shop routine has become.

Used to find that weird, but now I get it. Makes the whole coffee run feel less like a chore.
