The retired carpenter down the street showed me his 40 year old framing square and I get it now
I was at a garage sale on my block in Tucson a couple weeks back and this old guy sold me his framing square for 5 bucks, then showed me the marks he etched in it over decades of building. Now I keep one square just for my own marks instead of wiping it clean every job. Anyone else keep a beater square around just to track your own cuts?
