Just realized most people caulk baseboards wrong and I keep fixing it
Everyone I know runs a fat bead of painter's caulk along the whole baseboard and calls it done, and then six months later it's cracked and peeling in every corner of the house. The move is a thin bead of Alex Plus and then smooth it with your finger dipped in a cup of water, takes 20 seconds per section and holds up for ages. I did my whole downstairs in Raleigh over a weekend and two cold winters later there's not one crack. Am I the only one who thinks the squeeze tube nozzles are useless for this, or does someone actually use those?
