Paid $90 for a tile cutter that couldn't handle one subway tile
Bought a cheap manual tile cutter last month and it chipped every single piece I tried, even after watching three tutorials. I ended up renting a wet saw for $45 at Home Depot and finishing the backsplash in one afternoon. Anyone else get burned by bargain tools that just waste your weekend?

Three tools in my garage failed the same way this year. The cheap ones always cut corners somewhere you can't see until it's too late. Buy once or rent once, it ends up cheaper than your time wasted.
