My scale printed the same dimension 3 times before I caught it

Was laying out a floor plan for a 2,400 sq ft house yesterday and my scale was showing me 1/4 inch = 1 foot on the ruler but the print came out at 1/8 inch. Spent 45 minutes rechecking my layers and PDF settings before my coworker pointed out I had a custom scale saved from a previous job. Anyone else accidentally leave a weird scale setting on and ruin a morning?

Did you check if the custom scale saved over your default template or was it just hiding in the dropdown? Sounds like a nightmare to troubleshoot that while keeping track of all those layers.

11 custom layers and you have to redo all their settings? That's insane. I've lost count of how many times I've had to rebuild stuff from scratch, but that many layers would make me want to throw my computer out the window. My head hurts just thinking about it. Hope you had a backup or something because I really doubt the scale just hid itself in the dropdown without some kind of glitch. You're a lot more patient than me for even trying to figure it out.

Wait wait, I think you're mixing up two different people here. I'm pretty sure that was maxwell_arts who said that about the 11 layers, not gracej99. Either way yeah losing all those settings would be brutal, hope they had autosave on.
