Overheard a project manager in Phoenix say they don't check the title block anymore

I was at a supply house last week and heard a guy from a big firm say they assume the title block info is always right from the CAD file. That made me stop cold. I've caught three major errors in the last year alone from unchecked title blocks, including a wrong scale on a foundation plan for a job in Mesa. How many of you still make a point to verify that info before anything goes out?

Seriously? That's how you get a permit kicked back. I have a checklist on my desk for every sheet, and the title block is the first thing I verify. Date, scale, project number, all of it. Saved my butt last month when the file name and the title block job number didn't match.

Feel your pain, man. That's how you end up with a bathroom door opening into a wall. I still check it every single time.

That "opening into a wall" thing is the worst. Makes you wonder if the person who designed it ever actually lived in a house.
