Rant: I keep seeing drafters skip the 3D check before sending files to the shop floor... it's costing them.

Seriously, this drives me nuts. I've seen a simple bracket get cut wrong for weeks because nobody spun the model around. The shop guys end up playing detective with flat drawings, wasting everyone's time. It's such a basic step to catch a clash or a missing hole. Skipping it just pushes the problem down the line where fixing it costs real money.

Spinning the model is a luxury when deadlines are tight. Sometimes you have to trust the drawing pack and let the shop figure it out, they're the experts on the floor. A good drawing should be enough without needing a 3D walkthrough for every single part.

Oh man, @ray613, I get the deadline pressure, but that's exactly when a quick spin saves you. It catches the dumb stuff the shop shouldn't have to solve, like a flipped part. Skipping it just makes more work later.
