Spent 6 hours chasing a silt problem that was just a worn pin
Last Tuesday on a job near Port Arthur, the cutterhead kept clogging no matter how I adjusted the swing speed. Checked the suction line, the pump impeller, even swapped out the screen twice before I finally looked at the linkage arm. Turns out the pin had about a quarter inch of play in it, that little wobble was killing my vacuum. Anyone else ever waste a whole shift on something that simple and feel like an idiot when the fix was a $12 part?
