Swapped my suction cutter head for a plain rotary and cut 40% more yardage on the Brazos
Was fighting hard pack and clay on a job near the Brazos last Tuesday so I pulled the suction cutter and dropped in a plain rotary head just to see. Yardage jumped about 40% and I stopped clogging the line every twenty minutes, though I did have to slow my swing way down to keep the grade. Turns out the cutter head was fighting me the whole time on material that wasn't even that tough. Anyone else run rotary on mixed clay and sand or do you just keep a spare head on the barge?
