Bought a $90 panel lift for solo ceiling work and it saved my back on a 14 sheet job
I do a lot of small remodel jobs alone in Tucson and hanging ceiling board by myself used to wreck me, so I finally bought a used panel lift off a guy on Craigslist for $90. Two weeks ago I had a 14 sheet ceiling in a garage and I got every piece up without calling a buddy or holding my breath on a T brace. It rolls around, cranks up fine, and I finished the hang in about 5 hours instead of a full day of misery. The only catch is it barely fits between some closet walls, so I still hand bomb those spots. Anyone else running one of these, and how do you deal with tight rooms where it won't fit?
