My brother in law asked why I still hand sand corners and I didn't have a good answer
He's a painter down in Tampa and he watched me hit a corner with paper last month and just laughed. Told me he hasn't seen anyone hand sand an inside corner since 2019 because the mesh sponges do it in a quarter of the time with less digging. I pushed back at first, but then I timed it on a 12 foot wall and he was right, I was losing about 20 minutes per room for no reason. Guess I just learned it that way 15 years ago and never questioned it. What's the one step in your mud work you still do the old way just because nobody ever showed you different?
