PSA: spent $40 on a laser level and it saved my butt on a 14 foot vaulted ceiling in Denver
I always hand snapped lines like my old boss taught me and thought laser levels were for guys who couldn't read a tape. Then I took a job hanging a 14 foot vaulted ceiling in a Denver house and my chalk lines kept drifting on me. I grabbed a $40 Bosch laser level off the shelf at Home Depot and it cut my layout time in half on that one room. Ended up using it on every ceiling since, especially around can lights. Anyone else put off buying one of these for way too long?

Chalk lines don't drift, they just get stepped on or stretched.
