Tape joint blew out on a ceiling patch I did 2 months ago

Got a call from a homeowner in Tacoma this morning. Said there was a line showing through on their ceiling. I went over there and sure enough, the tape lifted right along the seam. I used the same mesh tape and mud I always use, same mix, same technique. Nothing different. But there it was, popped clean. Weather has been crazy wet here, house felt super humid inside. I had to cut it out, re-tape, and do the whole two coat thing again. This time I hit it with a fan and dehumidifier for a day before finishing. Maybe that was the issue. Has anyone else seen tape fail like that on ceilings in humid conditions, or am I missing something else? Cost me a full afternoon and I only charged for materials.
