The homeowner who watched me tape for 20 minutes then asked why I dont mud with a roller

Was on a job in Falls Church last week and this guy kept hovering while I was doing the finish work. He finally goes "my buddy says rollers are way faster, why you still using a taping knife?" I told him the roller leaves too much air under the paper and you end up sanding twice as long, but he didnt buy it. Anyone else get armchair experts who watch one YouTube video and think they know our trade better than us?
