Had to rewire a whole apartment in Denver last week because someone thought they could 'save money' by doing it themselves.

Found a dozen wire nuts just twisted on by hand, no box, and a 14-gauge wire spliced into a 20-amp circuit. How do you even begin to explain the fire risk to someone after that?

My insurance agent told me Denver has double the electrical fires of similar cities.
