Spent a full day chasing a ground fault that was in my own test lead

Blew through 6 hours on a residential service call in Phoenix, swapping breakers and pulling outlets, only to find the fault was in a cracked insulation on my own Fluke lead. Has anyone else had their own gear waste a whole day before or am I the only one dumb enough to trust it blindly?
