TIL the panel schedule on the inside of the door saved me 2 hours hunting a dead circuit in a 1970s house
Went out to a place in Mesa built in 1974. Homeowner said half the kitchen outlets died after a storm. I opened the panel and the dead front had a paper schedule taped to the door, faded pencil but readable. Somebody wrote circuit 14 was kitchen counter and circuit 15 was the dishwasher. Turned out a backstab on 14 let go. Took me 10 minutes to trace instead of pulling every box in the room. Now I write one on every panel I touch, even the ones with printed labels. How many of you actually leave a schedule behind after a service change?
