I sent a pitch email that was too generic and it flopped
I keep seeing people share these super quick email templates for reaching out to clients. So I used one last week for a follow-up, and the client totally called me out on it. They said it sounded like a form letter, and it made the whole call really awkward. I had to backtrack and apologize to keep the project. Now I always add a line or two about their specific business before hitting send.

Yeah, I always mention their latest project first.

Disagree, I'd ask what they're excited about next instead, like valcampbell might.

How did you land on that approach? I used to just talk about whatever I liked most, but your point about the latest project actually makes more sense for keeping things current. Good call, caseywalker.

That approach really shows you're paying attention. It makes the conversation feel fresh and relevant right away. Solid move for keeping things connected.
