Pitched with a Loom video vs a plain email template for a $3,200 logo gig, and the video won but felt weird
Sent both to two different bakeries in Portland and the video one replied in 4 hours while the template sat for 6 days. Is a personalized video now the move over a clean template, or did I just get lucky with one client?
I've done the loom thing for a few local spots too and honestly the replies were night and day. Sent a video to a coffee shop owner explaining why I'd change their menu font and she wrote back same day, but a plain email to a bike shop just sat there forever. I feel like the video works because they can hear you're a real person and not some guy blasting 50 pitches a day. But it's also way more work per client, so I only do it now when the job is big enough to be worth it. For smaller stuff I still just email. I don't think you got lucky, but I also don't think video wins every time.
