Todd from the Columbus meetup told me to cut my pitch email down to 4 lines and I still think he was dead wrong
Everyone in that room at the Hyatt in Columbus last October nodded along when Todd said pitch emails over 4 lines never get read, but then he pulled up his own template and it was just "quick call?" with a calendar link and no info about what he was selling. I said that only works when the buyer already knows you, and for cold pitches you need 2 real sentences about their problem before the ask. He shrugged and said "works for me," but he's been in the game 11 years with a referral base. Anyone here pitch cold to people who've never heard of them, and if so how short do you actually go?
