Bought a $250 hoof stand from a catalog and it wobbles like crazy

I needed a new stand for those long trim sessions so I grabbed one off the catalog page. Looked solid in the picture but the legs are uneven and the tray slides. I've been kicking it level with a wood shim but that's not gonna cut it for the long haul. Has anyone found a stand that actually stays put without breaking the bank?

OH man, I feel your pain! I grabbed one of those too and the legs are so uneven it drives me nuts. I ended up just putting mine on a folded up towel to stop the wobble, but the tray still slides off half the time. Such a waste of money for what should be a simple piece of equipment.

Tried sticking some of those felt furniture pads under just the short leg and it actually leveled out pretty good without the wobble. Had to adjust it a couple times but it beats messing with a towel every time I use it.
