Switched from paper pattern pieces to a projector setup 2 years ago
I used to spend hours taping together PDF patterns and cutting them out, but now I just project the lines directly onto my fabric. Has anyone else tried this and found it messes with their cutting accuracy at all?

Oh man, yes, I switched about a year ago and it took me a few projects to really dial in the calibration... but now I actually feel like my cuts are more accurate because I'm not fighting with wrinkled paper or tape lines.

Tripped over my own fabric roll the first week I tried it and ended up with a crooked cut on a shirt sleeve I'll never forgive myself for. Took me like five projects to get my projector leveling right, and I still catch myself checking it with a level like I'm building a house. Honestly, I think the paper tape struggle made me sloppy before, because now I actually trace the lines careful instead of guessing where the paper wrinkled. My cutting mat has permanent ghost lines from my old cutter going rogue on cheap paper edges. So yeah, if I can stop bumping the table mid-cut, it's way better than my old tape-and-tear system.

Wait are you me? I literally bruised my shin on my projector stand the first week and then spent like 2 hours with a tape measure trying to figure out why my sleeve kept coming out wonky. The paper battle was real though, I'd get so mad at wrinkled tissue patterns I'd just guess on the cutting line half the time.
