Switched to paper draping after years of digital flat patterns
Flat patterns on the computer always felt right until I tried draping a bodice on a dress form with actual muslin last week and saw how the fabric falls in real life. Digital made me ignore grain lines and ease that paper makes obvious instantly. Anyone else find one method just clicks better than the other?

Got a roll of paper towels sitting next to my sewing machine right now (don't judge, they ran out of tracing paper at the craft store). Used them to rough out a sleeve pattern last night and honestly it worked better than the fancy stuff. The way paper crinkles and folds tells you things digital never will, like where the fabric is going to tug or sag. My old home ec teacher used to say you can't feel pixels, which I thought was dumb at the time but now it makes total sense.

Digital made me ignore grain lines" - that's exactly why I prefer digital, it stops me overthinking the small stuff.
