A guy in Tulsa showed me how he pre-drills cedar pickets and now my split rate dropped to almost nothing
I used to just send screws through and eat the splits on about 1 in 8 pickets, but he drills a pilot hole first and I tried it on a 90 foot run last week. Anyone else pre-drilling or do you just run a finer thread screw and call it good?
