The difference in a vinyl fence line after we switched from a string line to a laser level

We put up 200 feet of vinyl fencing in Phoenix last month and the first 50 feet looked a bit wavy using our old string line method. For the rest of the run, we set up a rotary laser level and the panels lined up perfectly straight, saving us a ton of time on adjustments. Has anyone else found a specific tool change that made this big of a difference in their finish?

Guess the string line was having a wavy day.

What kind of string line were you using, the nylon or the braided kind?

Having a wavy day" is a funny way to put it, but I mean, is the string type really the big deal here? Maybe it's just me but @the_jessica, that feels like overthinking it. Like, unless you're building a perfect fence or something, does braided vs nylon actually matter that much in the end? Idk, sometimes a line is just a line and it does its job.
