My crock of sauerkraut went 3 weeks in the garage and my wife says toss it, I say taste it
Started a batch on March 2 in the cool corner of the garage in Tacoma, and the brine looks fine but she swears the smell is off. Do you trust the nose or the calendar with kraut, and where do you draw the line?
