Charged $50 for a logo, then $800 for the next one, which one was right?
My first logo gig back in Austin I quoted $50 because I was terrified of scaring off the client. They loved it, paid fast, and six months later the same person came back for a full brand package, so I asked around and bumped it to $800. The weird part is the $50 gig took me two weeks of stress and the $800 one took three days because I finally knew what I was doing. So was the low price just a learning tax, or did I undersell myself so badly that I set a bad baseline for everyone after? Has anyone else seen their prices jump like that and wondered if they left money on the table the first time?
