My uncle's pricing advice actually made me mad, then it clicked
Talked to my uncle who did freelance audio work in Nashville for 20 years. He said I should charge double what I planned and just let clients talk me down if they balk. I thought that was greedy and fake. But then I tried it on a small podcast editing gig, quoted $300 instead of my $150 gut feeling. The guy accepted it without blinking, and I realized I was the one undervaluing the work. Has anyone else tried the high-ball method on a first gig and been shocked it worked?
