A buyer's 3-word note fixed my gig photos

Been selling logo gigs on Fiverr for about a year now. Last month a buyer left a review saying 'portfolio looks generic.' Stung a bit, but they were right. I had just copied trendy styles from Dribbble without any real story behind them. So I redid all 6 gig images with fake brand backgrounds, like a coffee shop menu or a mechanic's sign. First week after the update, I got 2 orders and one guy even mentioned my style felt more honest. Has anyone else had a random critique that ended up boosting their gig?
