Shoutout to the 2015 Fiverr days when $5 actually meant $5
I pulled $180 in a single Tuesday back in 2015 doing nothing but resizing product photos on Fiverr, and the site took a flat dollar per order with no service fee stacked on top. Now a $25 gig on Upwork leaves me less than $21 after their cut and the connects I burned just to send the proposal. Does anyone actually come out ahead on fees these days or are we all just paying for the privilege of bidding?
