Pro tip: pull baseboard before floating LVP, learned that the hard way in Reno last month
Spent 2 hours cutting around door casings on a 400 sq ft job in Reno last month, then realized pulling base first would have saved me an hour, so now I want to know if you all yank base every time or only on certain rooms.
Pull base every single time now, even in closets, because the time you save on cuts pays for the reinstall. What really sold me was paint: if the base is off you can float right up to the drywall and skip all that quarter round and touch up hassle later. Takes an extra 20 minutes to pull and nail back, but I finish the floor faster and it looks way cleaner.
